2006

New Year 2006-07
This year Firework Professionals fired or supplied fireworks for over 20 fireworks shows all over the country, from small scale private shows to large public displays. We did shows at dance parties, wineries, off barges in lakes and harbours, and on beaches. Two of our technicians travelled to Fiji to fire this beach front show.

Lyttelton Container Crane Launch
Firework Professionals provided the pyro and searchlights for the launch of the new Lyttelton container crane.

Firework Professionals in China
Firework Professionals were invited to Shanghai to compete in the Shanghai International Music Fireworks Festival. Read more about our prize winning show
This is the second time Firework Professionals have been invited to perform in an international fireworks festival.

Dancing with the Stars
Indoor pyrotechnics can add excitement to a stage or TV production.
Here the pyro and firing systems are provided by Firework Professionals. The execution is by fusedfx.

Lyttelton Festival of Lights
The Festival was enhanced by a dynamic fireworks show that echoed around the harbour. Firework Professionals also provided searchlights. (16/6/06)

New Zealand Fireworks and Special Effects Courses, April 2006
Our practical block course in April 06 attracted a range of students from New Zealand and the United States. This course covered pyro and Film SPFX - including working with miniatures.

Synchronised indoor pyro and a sound track

Screen Canterbury Open Night 27 September
Firework Professionals provided Screen Canterbury with a taste of what they can do including writing in fire on the ground, synchronising indoor pyro with a sound track automatically, and the new 2m tornado.

New Zealand Fireworks Courses
Our first pyrotechnic practical course took place August 2005. Here the students are working on the cue list just before they fire their first indoor pyrotechnic session. Most of the students carried on to learn outdoor pyrotechnics and fired shells up to 150 millimetres.

Firework Professionals supplied high-quality chemicals for the production of Irdieden for the Matariki Festival in Hastings.

World expert Toni Busuttil from Malta travels worldwide giving displays of these marvellously innovative pyrotechnic wheels. He recently came to New Zealand and has trained a crew to produce them.

Streamer release (with fireworks) - Unlimited School building opening

Unlimited School Opening, 13 May 2005
The new Unlimited School building is opened by the Minister of Education on Friday 13th of May 2005.

He triggers powerful fan which inflates a long tube, popping it open out of its lashings, and releasing streamers as it goes linking the old school building to the new building. Fireworks bursts are fired at the start and finish.

We export to the Pacific and World Wide - Decazeville France, 2004
Our reputation earned us an invitation to the Decazeville International Fireworks Choreographic Competition in 2004 where we won second place.
