Maroons

Firework Professionals make four classes of maroon, each with a number of options:

Maroons

standard maroons make a loud bang. We have two sizes available:

A small gunshot maroon

• The Small Maroon produces a loud bang (Sound Pressure Level of approximately 105dB A at 1 metre ) suitable for gunshots in theatre etc. They are often fired from offstage, but we also have a design for incorporating them in a simulated (prop) weapon for a more realistic effect.
• Large maroons make a sound more akin to cannon shots than small arms. They are suitable for large indoor and outdoor venues. Large maroons fit our heavy steel firing shrouds, which are available as a loan item when purchasing pyro. They may also be fired in drums, tanks, or tubes to create a resonant effect.

Maroon Flashes

A maroon flash with a heavy steel firing shroud.

Maroon flashes add a bright flash and a small puff of smoke to the loud bang.

Like maroons they are available in small, medium and large sizes, but all three sizes fit our firing shrouds.

Even a small maroon flash is probably too loud for use as a pantomime effect - a stage flash would probably be a better choice.

Glitter Maroon Flashes

Maroon flashes with the addition of a shower of sparks, available in small, medium and large.

Concussion Maroons

Definitely for outdoor use only, concussion maroons create a larger, bassier burst akin to a sub woofer, with an effect best described as "gut wrenching" at close range.

Once again, they come in small, medium and large sizes and fit our heavy steel firing shrouds.
