Practical Film SPFX Courses

There's nothing like a real explosion, with fire and debris, to add punch to a film or TV shot. Digitally generated effects just don't cut the mustard beside the raw impact of the genuine article.

From machine-gun slugs tearing open someone's chest to a car being spectacularly totalled... you can learn and experience all the techniques behind creating these and other effects.

This is advanced work that requires a good level of product and safety knowledge, so you will need to have completed either your indoor or outdoor training before doing the Special Effects or Battle Simulation courses.

Practical Content

• Film SPFX - one day's intensive tuition where you can set up, operate and record on video your own scenarios, using miniatures as well as life-size effects or learn how to create explosions on and by vehicles.
• Battle simulations. Gunfire simulation, personal bullet hits, smoke effects, strafe runs, bomb hits, and dry powder and liquid fireballs.
