Buses

The central bus exchange is situated in Litchfield St in the city.

Three buses will stop an easy walking distance from Firework Professionals.

The quickest is:
Number 3 (Avonhead to Sumner) which travels down Ferry Rd Rd and leaves the Bus Exhange at:
8:11am arrives about 8:29am
8:20am arrives about 8:38am
8:32am arrives about 8:50am
Get off by Rutherford St corner and walk.

There is also:
Number 24 (Hyde Park to Bromley)
Travels down part of Ferry Rd and leaves the Bus Exchange at:
8:14am arrives about 8:38am

Number 35 (City to Lyttelton via Heathcote)
Travels via Garlands Road - less walking but more infrequent service. Leaves the Bus Exchange at:
8:10am arrives about 8:30am

What to Bring:

Clothing

  • Bring warm clothes, including a jacket. Cotton clothing is best -avoid synthetic clothes because of static electricity and melting risk.
  • Bring wet weather gear if you are going to be working outside.
  • Wear solid footwear.

Other things to bring

  • Your FPL training manual.
  • A camera if you want to document your work.
  • For your comfort on outdoor days, bring a water/bottle and/or thermos flask.
Tools and safety gear will be provided for the duration of the course but bring overalls if you have them.
